Laem Set, established in 1982, was one of the first hotels on the island. At that time there were only a dozen or so, and while this number has mushroomed to 200+, if one counts both small bungalows and big hotels, Laem Set is the only establishment maintaining the original style of Samui, but placing it in a context of fine service and world-renowned cuisine. We still have thatched seafront bungalows, and our suites are all old teak houses, dismantled and reassembled here, with interior redesign to a most comfortable and elegant standard.

Thai Thani Restaurant - This large, open "sala" bordering the sea and the pool is made from four old Thai wooden houses dismantled and reassembled here in this new form.You can ask to dine here and you will be left in complete privacy under the stars. The waiters will attend you to refresh your drinks or change courses when you summon them.
